Ren tries to woo Color Deep (Rita’s bestie) with his mad skills.
Okay, today I’m going to introduce with you my own simple steps own building your own music brand.
In any trade whether you’re an artist, musician, construction, or accountant. You’re in one of the following three categories.
- Performance
- Creation
- Education
Many musicians that I know are just performers, they may dabble a bit in creating or even producing music, but their full trade is performance.
Toon’s Tunes Comic or Illegal Aliens is caught between two industries: the music and comic book industry.
For the music industry, I’m in the education category, I have written dozens of songs, recorded many albums and traveled the world performing with artists as a bassist. But my heart is in education.
For the comic book industry, I would be in the creator and performance category. Soon I will delve into creating my own music for the comics I create.
Now choose what category you’re in and let’s begin.
There are 5 Building blocks for building your music brand.
1. Blackhole: In your own industry everything is being sucked in and consumed through the industry black hole. Maybe your mad clarinet skills or compositions are so unique it’s the ultimate solution to plug up your industries black hole. Simply put, find a problem in your industry, find the solution and fill in the black hole.
2. Three-legged Baby: Have you ever seen a three-legged baby? Neither have I. Your mad clarinet skills, your album is so unique and out of this world it’s this missing link that will fill in the black hole that’s sucking everything in.
3. Green Monkeys: You need the paper! Money, greenbacks, dead presidents. In today’s society, you need the ends to push your three-legged baby through the black hole to fill it in.
4. Monkey Trap: You need green monkeys to get more green monkeys to push that fat three-legged baby to plug up the black hole. How? You need a monkey trap. In other words, you need to market, advertise and promote your mad clarinet skills to make the paper (money).
5. 100 Foot Cock: The ultimate solution to attracting as many green monkeys as possible is to use a 100-foot cock (rooster) to sound the call. This is known as PR (public relations), you need third-party mega platforms to spread the word about your mad clarinet skills. If you hooked up with Quincy Jones or Usher who are 100-foot cocks they would spread the word about your skills and you would be set for life. It only takes one major influencer that can push your name to stardom and plenty of green monkeys.
A while ago there was this terrible rapper named Bhad Bhabie who hit it major on youtube. This artist is probably one of the worst examples of rappers in history.
But…
Before the rap success, she was this terrible example of a child that was raised with the worst parents. She appeared on Dr. Phil years ago and Dr. Phil is a major 100-foot cock. This appearance on Dr. Phil launched her fame and the rest is history. She has over 5 million subscribers and the video has been viewed 71 million times. Good Lord!
Check it out.
I thought the track was well produced, but just take out her rap and add Tupac or Snoop, then you got something. It goes to show you, that you can have a boring two-legged baby, instead of three and have your 15 minutes of fame, as long as you have a 100-foot cock.
Well, there you go. 5 Guidelines for building your music brand. Yes, there are more details to it, but if you understand these basic steps then you should be golden.
I guess that’s it for now.
Stay golden.
