Miki Mos, Ren’s Filipino drummer buddy attempts to ask Rita out to dinner.
Hey, remember when you first asked out a girl you liked, or boy, and you thought the way to do it, was to just ask, and the social protocol was to not be mean and they have to say yes, because it’s rude to say, “No!”?
Remember?
But, then you got rejected and it felt like she ripped your heart out like, Kali Ma from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and it burst into flames and your life was over, and you couldn’t sleep all night, because you kept thinking about her and what you did wrong and why she said, No! And then you form a plan on what to say at class the next day, while she has your heart at home frying in a pan and chopped up to make some awesome Carne Asada heart tacos. Of course, your words will never convince her, but chivalry is still a thing in Fabio’s romance novels.
The words of wisdom are: “Once you fail, try again, and again, and again and success will come your way”, but for some weird reason it works for everything, but women.
This, of course, has never happened to me.
