It’s Flautas night, and the kids are on cloud nine, but Ren always has to ruin it.
My mama makes my favorite Mexican dish and that’s “flautas” (flutes). They’re rolled corn tortillas stuffed with chicken or beef that is deep fried in corn oil, but she uses one special ingredient that makes them taste friggin’ awesome.
It’s not a special ingredient you can only get at some specialty food store for vegans. It’s a common ingredient you can pick up at your local supermarket.
I just can’t tell you what it is, or my mamma will take away my Thundercat toys. Sorry, Charlie.
These flautas taste amazing with guacamole, shredded iceberg lettuce, and my favorite Mexican cotija cheese. Oh, don’t forget some Tapatio hot sauce to give it that kick. Oh yeah, baby!
My mouth is watering, gotta annoy my mamma to fry me up some flautas.
Peace.
