The Clef’s wannabe cholo neighbor recommended Jimmy’s Chili Cheese Burgers for din-din.
This scene is referenced to the original Tommy’s in Los Angeles.
If you’re from L.A. then you’ve most likely eaten at the World Famous Tommy’s. And if you haven’t then you’re a weirdo Angeleno.
Tommy’s was one the first-ever burger stands that have stood the test or time as the best chili cheese burgers ever! Bam! I said it.
Here’s a pic of the Original Tommy’s on the corner of Rampart and Beverly Blvd.
The place is still kickin’.
My Great Uncle Hector just passed away (God rest his soul). I went to the funeral and my lesbian Aunt (My Uncle’s daughter) mentioned after the funeral we’re heading on over to Griffith Park in L.A. for lunch.
And were having…
TOMMY’S!
It was my Great Uncle Hector’s favorite burger joint. Who knew?
After waiting for an hour in the L.A. heat at the park, a great big beautiful catering truck swung by and parked, that said Tommy’s! Tears of joy rolled down my cheeks.
I finally ordered a double chili cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and a soda. Yes, I was satisfied full of gas.
Thanks to my Great Uncle Hector (RIP) who loved this place and my lesbian Aunt who got the catering truck.
