Professor B, continues the tale of Mr. Pladhat his old, strange, fat guitar teacher. Plus, some more notes and chords. Yippee!
I had a handful of old, strange music teachers. All were unique in their own ways, but all benefited to my music training and made me the musician I am today. I hope that’s a good thing.
“The more you learn, the more you earn.” Who said that? I don’t remember, I’m too lazy to google it, but It’s very true in many ways. I believe it was Warren Buffett
Add the word, execution or action somewhere in that phrase and it will make much more sense.
Information can only consume so much in our minds, learn exactly what you need to learn in order to execute and leave everything else out in the cold. You don’t need all that extra garbage that public schools and colleges tend to sell you, but the beef and cheese empanadas were bomb. Break me some of those!
O.F.F, is an acronym that I invented. It stands for:
- Obsession
- Failures
- Forgiveness
This is my key to success. You need to be obsessed, and you need to fail a thousand times and forgive yourself and other so you can start again. When you truly forgive it’s as if it never happened, all the fear and resentment just melts and you can start over without regrets.
Many musicians can’t forget the failures and never forgive others or themselves for it, which is why they hold resentment towards themselves and others. Which equals failure.
And last, be obsessed with your craft. Just don’t obsess or stalk over someone on Facebook you creepo!
Don’t lie. I know you do it. Lol!
