When I use to work for Yamaha Music Academy I got questioned a lot from students and parents, they asked, “How long will it take for me or my kid to be awesome?” All I can say it depends on the desires and how much time the student is spending time on their instrument. I also give my “5 steps to Mastery” and they’re very simple.
Here are the 5 steps once again:
- Learn it!
- Practice it!
- Do it !
- Teach it!
- Review it!
It requires effort and time to mastering your instrument of choice.
In the book of Proverbs it says:
“Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.”
Proverbs 12:11
Straight out from the wisest and richest man that ever walked this earth, King Solomon. Not only was he wise, but the dude was loaded $$$$ and blessed beyond his dreams, but he did have to work for it and put in effort time in making mistakes and the right decisions. That is exactly how everyone learns.
